HIGH PRAISE

Posted on: Wed 22 Jun 2005

Former loan Ranger Lee Camp helped convince new signing Ian Evatt that joining QPR was the right move.

The two players were team mates at Derby County and remain firm friends despite the defender's move away from Pride Park in 2003.

And having enjoyed a successful spell at Loftus Road, helping Rangers to promotion from Division Two, Camp had nothing but praise for his mate's new club.

"He said I'd love it down here and he's right - it looks fantastic," Evatt said. "It's great to be back at a big stadium.

"Lee told me that it's a fantastic club and he misses being here himself.

"He said that he's never met people as nice as those at this football club, the fans are great and I'll love it.

"He's a good friend and I hope he's right."
