Jimmy Smith makes his first start for the R's

Chelsea loanee Jimmy Smith makes his full QPR debut against out-of-sorts Norwich City at Loftus Road.

The teenage starlet partners skipper Marc Bircham in the heart of the R's midfield, with Stefan Bailey making way.

Pat Kanyuka - who performed so heroicly after coming off the bench against Southampton last time out - is ruled out with a hamstring injury, so Marcus Bignot, Zesh Rehman, Damion Stewart and the recalled Steve Lomas make up the R's back four.

Despite his international woes, Welsh custodian Paul Jones retains the number one jersey, with the fit-again Simon Royce again having to make do with a place on the bench.

Martin Rowlands and the in-form Lee Cook occupying the wide midfield berths, while Dexter Blackstock and Ray Jones will be looking continue their promising partnership in attack, with the R's front-men each aiming to notch their third goals in as many matches.

After impressing gaffer John Gregory in the Reserve fixture on Tuesday evening, Club Captain Kevin Gallen joins Royce, Matthew Rose, Stefan Bailey and Nicky Ward on the substitute's bench.
