The R's will be aiming to bounce back to winning ways following Saturday's defeat to Middlesbrough, when they take on local rivals Watford in front of the Sky Sports cameras tonight (Monday).

Victory for the Hoops would see them climb back into fourth spot, as the play-off race heats up in the Coca Cola Championship.

Hosts Watford - who lost 2-0 to runaway leaders Newcastle United on Saturday - currently occupy 12th spot in the second tier, but Malky Mackay's men are a formidable outfit on their own turf, having lost only twice at The Vic so far this campaign.

Team News

Jim Magilton has named an unchanged squad for the trip to Vicarage Road.

Blackburn Rovers loanee Steven Reid has been ruled out owing to a hamstring injury, whilst Matt Connolly will again miss out again with a pelvic injury.

Angelo Balanta is back in full training following a recent groin problem and could feature, but Gavin Mahon (knee), Martin Rowlands (knee) and Lee Cook (knee) all remain sidelined.

Watford will be without striker Heidar Helguson as he is ineligible to play under the terms of his loan deal from Loftus Road.

Arsenal loanee Henri Lansbury is a doubt with a hip injury, but American defender Jay DeMerit should be available.

Previous Encounter

Watford 2, QPR 4 - Coca Cola Championship - December 29th 2007

Rangers ran riot at Vicarage Road, as goals from Martin Rowlands (2), Damion Stewart and Akos Buzsaky clinched a stunning 4-2 victory against Championship front-runners Watford.

The R's stormed into a three goal lead at the break.

Rowlands opened the scoring from the spot, before he turned provider to set up Stewart who headed home to make it two.

The outstanding Rowlands capped a cameo individual display with a third from Angelo Balanta's threaded through ball, and although a Lee Camp own goal temporarily allowed the Hornets back into the tie early in the second period, substitute Akos Buzsaky guaranteed the win eight minutes from time.

Remarkably, there was still time for R's old-boy Danny Shittu to notch a late second for the Hornets, but it was Rangers' day - and how!

Pre-match Talk

R's skipper Mikele Leigertwood: "It's massive for us.

"We want to put Saturday's result behind us and push on up the table.

"We'll have to dig in, but we know we've got the quality to go there and get a result."
