The R's are back in Championship action tonight, when Ipswich Town head to Loftus Road.

Roy Keane's charges currently occupy 21st place in the second tier, lying just one position and one point above the dreaded relegation drop zone.

After a busy time in the transfer market last month, Keane will be looking for an instant return from his January loanees.

Daryl Murphy made a quick-fire statement of his intent by scoring inside 23 seconds of his debut on Saturday, but the Tractor Boys were unable to hang on to all three points, as David Wheather struck late on to hand Middlesbrough a share of the spoils.

Classic Encounter

QPR 2, Ipswich Town 1

Coca Cola Championship - August 9th 2005

Rangers withstood an improved second half performance from Ipswich Town to record their first win of the season.

Sam Parkin's 54th minute goal changed the atmosphere at Loftus Road after Rangers had utterly dominated the first 45 minutes to lead 2-0.

The Super Hoops - whose goals arrived courtesy of Kevin Gallen and Martin Rowlands - weren't exactly hanging on, but the second half was a far more nervous affair and the home side were understandably relieved when the final whistle blew.
