The ever-reliable Radek Cerny joined the R's from Tottenham Hotspur on a free transfer in the summer of 2008.

The former Spurs and Slavia Prague stopper arrived in W12 with a terrific track record and duly went on to make a string of impressive displays in the first - and probably most memorable - season so far in his current three-year spell at QPR.

Cerny was a mainstay in the R's side throughout the 2008/09 campaign, making 47 appearances in all competitions, and inspiring Rangers to one of the best defensive records in the Championship.

The arrival of Paddy Kenny last season saw the experienced keeper lose his place in the starting XI, but Cerny's commitment to the cause certainly cannot be underestimated.

QPR kept 25 league clean sheets during their title-winning campaign of 2010/11 and, although Cerny only kept goal in one of those matches, Hoops gaffer Neil Warnock believes that the R's goalkeepers' union - including the Czech, R's number one Kenny and Goalkeeping Coach David Rouse - played a major part in Rangers obtaining that outstanding defensive record.

Cerny penned a new one-year deal in W12 in June 2011, keeping him at the Club until the end of the 2011/12 campaign.
