Simon Walton joined QPR from Charlton in July 2007 for £200,000.
The versatile midfielder signed a three-year deal at Loftus Road and, in doing so, became the seventh summer arrival of the summer.
A tough-tackling, no-nonsense footballer, Walton suffered heartbreak during a pre-season friendly against Fulham, where a fractured fracture ruled him out for the majority of his maiden season in W12.
The former Leeds United ace made just five appearances in all competitions for the R's, before spending time on loan at Hull City.
