Champions QPR clinched the permanent signing of Adel Taarabt on the eve of the 2010/11 campaign.

R's gaffer Neil Warnock pulled off one of the masterstrokes of the summer by moving for the Tottenham Hotspur playmaker, who had previously enjoyed two memorable loan spells in West London.

Indeed, the Moroccan ace's signing proved to be an inspired one, with his 19 goals and immeasurable displays helping the R's secure the npower Championship title - and, of course, Taarabt The Football League's Player of the Year crown.

A mercurial talent, Taarabt, 22, is forever linked with moves away from Loftus Road but has recently pledged his future to Rangers, insisting 'I want to stay at QPR and play for Neil Warnock. I think as long as he is here I will be here too.'

Taarabt began his career as a trainee with Lens, before moving to Spurs - initially on a loan deal - in January 2007.
