Under-12 Manager Craig Preston and his assistant Will Roberts are delighted with the Girl's start to the league campaign.

A bright start from the Under 12's so far this season has seen them win six of their first seven fixtures, placing them third in the League.

"We started pre-season training back in August with no fewer than eight new signings, some of which we had been coaching at after schools clubs and Player Development centres," Preston told www.qpr.co.uk.

"The girls are working to a coaching syllabus at training, and we are starting to see their efforts pay off on match days, with good individual and collective performances.

"Having made the transition from seven to 11-a-side football, the girls are getting used to the new pitch dimensions and they are beginning to understand the importance of keeping their team shape.

"The players who were retained from last season have made the new signings feel very welcome, and all the players are enthusiastic about being part of this squad."
