QPR's Under-10 girls development squad took a stroll down Wembley Way last Thursday, as they represented both the Club and the Middlesex County FA in this year's FA National Football Festival.
The National Football Festival was hosted at Wembley Stadium by The FA & McDonald's.
The event celebrated QPR Girls' involvement in Grassroots Community Football and the FA and McDonald's partnership.
The day started at 11.00am at Northwick Park, where the team played three development games against nationwide Under-10 teams.
Coaching areas were set up by FA staff for the players to learn new skills following each game, and the girls demonstrated some of those skills during their remaining two matches.
At 3.30pm, the squad had the pleasure of meeting Sir Geoff Hurst at Wembley Stadium, before playing their final fixture on the hallowed turf against local side Croydon Borough.
Following a 1-0 victory, the squad - led by Manager Anthony Hennelly and Coach Kerri Coombs - walked up to the Royal Box to receive a commemorative medal from the guests of honour.
Well done girls!
