Queens Park Rangers Girls U10's have made a positive start to their inaugural season.
Having formed in the summer after an initial trial period, the girls have learned quickly what is expected of them, both in training and on a match day.
So far, the games have been close and entertaining for all involved, with the girls been beaten just once to date.
Speaking exclusively to www.qpr.co.uk, Under 10's Manager Anthony Hennelly said: "At this early stage it's about a lot of technique practice, but also introducing the girls to our philosophy of working hard for themselves and the team.
"We will also be asking them to play positive, progressive football.
"I am pleased they have responded well to the challenges presented so far and I am looking forward to seeing how they progress through the season as they continue to develop."
The young R's team currently occupy top spot in the U10 Home Counties League, having played every team already.
Under 10's Assistant Manager Kerri Combes added: "The girls have had a bright start and the league position reflects the work they have put in so far.
"Some of the performances have been impressive, and we are looking for the girls to build on those performances and demonstrate quality throughout the rest of the season."
