Two Combination sides went out to Regional League opposition in the 1st Round Proper, with Copsewood sinking Alfreton Town 4-0 and
Radcliffe Olympic winning 3-1 at Wolves, who lost keeper Natalie Hall with an injury.

Curzon Ashton and Lewes top-scored with nine goals each, beating Hull City and London Colney, respectively. There was also eight for Oxford City against Hampshire League Salisbury City.

Loughborough Students accounted for Rushden & Diamonds, with QPR eliminating South West Combo leaders, Reading FC Women, 3-1.

A brace from Chloe Roberts helped Plymouth Argyle to a 2-1 victory at AFC Bournemouth, in a battle of two sides in the top three of the South West Combination. Gillingham, struggling in the South East Combination, enjoyed a fine 1-0 success at home to the leaders, Ipswich Town.

Frome Town had to wait until the last minute to finish off Penzance, and did so in style, as Cassie Powell fired home a Helen Perkins backheel from outside of the area. Much closer still was Acton's tie at Denham United, where they finally won through 4-2 on penalties.

There was some cup cheer for AFC Wimbledon, who are enduring a torrid time after relegation from the Premier League. The Dons scored more goals than they had for the season to date, and it was just enough to see off Eastern League Barking. Five goals came in a frantic nine-minute spell, with further drama, as the Dons had Rebecca Duggan sent-off after fighting back from 4-2 down, to go ahead through Beth Sims and hold on for victory.
