LADIES RUN RIOT

Posted on: Wed 02 Sep 2009

QPR Ladies continued their promising start to the season with a 9-2 thrashing of Colchester United Ladies last weekend.

The victory - which took Martino Chevannes' side top of the FA Tesco's Women's Premier League table - was sealed thanks in part to seven goals from the front duo of Cherrelle Albert and Beth Curtis.

Albert bagged four and Curtis hit a hat-trick, with further goals from Simone Dwyer and Seun Odeniyi clinching the rout.

Chevannes told www.qpr.co.uk: "We were dominant from start to finish and thoroughly deserved the victory.

"I'm really pleased with the start we've made, but the hard work is very much still ahead of us."
