SEVENTH HEAVEN
Under-18 hot-shot Romone Rose bagged a tasty treble against Barnet on Saturday.
Rose and fellow front-men Angelo Balanta and Antonio German were all on target, as Rangers thrashed the Bees 7-2.
Following the 4-0 defeat of the Bees in the Puma Youth Alliance League Cup in October, Rangers went goal crazy at Harlington, smashing seven goals past the team that currently sits bottom of the table.
Understandably, it was a result that left boss Steve Brown waxing lyrical about his front trio.
"The front three have been excellent all season," Brown told www.qpr.co.uk.
"They will always get us goals and every team we've played against this season have spoken very highly of them."
Brown continued: "Romone has bundles of ability and Antonio and Angelo have all the attributes to succeed in the game. I've been very pleased with their contribution so far this season.
"Strikers should never tire of scoring goals. I asked them after the game 'do you want to score 15 goals a season or 30?' They did what I asked them to do in the second half - they put the ball in the net."
James Folkes (2) was also on target in the handsome home win, as Rangers eased back into league action following their successful progression from the Youth Alliance League Cup group stages.
"I thought Barnet came at us for the first 20 minutes," said Brown.
"The game should have been all over after half an hour and they were only still in it at half-time because we allowed them to be so.
"We switched off immediately after the second goal and got caught and that shouldn't happen.
"I was disappointed with the two goals we conceded. You can't compensate for individual mistakes at any level of football, but at least they didn't cost us in terms of the overall result."
As the season nears its mid-way stage, Brown is pleased with the progress his squad are making after a summer of change in W12.
"I'm very pleased with the way we're playing," he said.
"This group of players have had to deal with a lot of new things being thrown at them since me and Keith arrived and they've taken a lot of it on board.
"We're definitely on the right track and I'm very encouraged by their recent performances."
