IDRISSA Sylla joins QPR after spending 18 months with Belgian giants Anderlecht.
Born in Conakry, Guinea, the 25 year-old came through the ranks with French side Le Mans.
His first season as a pro was spent on loan at Bastia, then in the third tier of French football. Sylla scored seven goals in 27 appearances before enjoying an excellent return to Le Mans, being the club’s joint top scorer in 2011/12 with nine league goals in the French second tier.
In the summer of 2013, the striker joined Zulte Waregem in the Belgian top flight. He remained for two years, scoring 18 goals in 64 appearances in all competitions.
His average goal tally of almost one in three earned him a move to Anderlecht in February 2015, where he signed a four-and-a-half year deal.
In his first season, Sylla’s seven league goals helped the club to second place in the Belgian Pro League.
This season, he made three league appearances for Anderlecht, scoring twice.
On the international stage, Sylla made his debut for Guinea in a friendly against the Ivory Coast in 2012. He has won 22 caps to date, scoring five goals, and was a member of his country’s squad for the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations.
