ROB Green produced a man-of-the-match performance in QPR’s moment of real need, as he helped the club win our Play-Off Final against Derby County in May 2014, despite being reduced to ten men.
The former Norwich City and West Ham United goalkeeper pulled off a number of fine saves to keep the Rams out, to cap off what had been a record-breaking season for him at Loftus Road.
In October 2013, Green set a club record with eight consecutive clean sheets and his role in our promotion-winning campaign cannot be under-estimated.
The experienced goalkeeper – who started his career as a trainee at Carrow Road – joined the R’s in the summer of 2012 following the expiration of his contract at West Ham.
Prior to the start of the 2014/15 campaign, he had made 67 appearances for the R’s in all competitions.
An international with England, Green won his first senior cap for the Three Lions in 2005 and also featured at the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.
In July 2014 he signed a one-year extension, keeping him in W12 until the summer of 2015.
