HIGHLY-RATED defender Joel Lynch has joined QPR provides versatility and experience to the R’s backline.
The 28-year-old arrives at Loftus Road off the back of an impressive 2015/16 season with Huddersfield Town, where he made 40 appearances, scoring two goals.
Lynch has plenty of experience plying his trade in the Championship, having also spent time in the second tier with Nottingham Forest.
Lynch came through the ranks at Brighton & Hove Albion, where he impressed due to his calmness on the ball and aerial ability in League One.
His performances attracted interest from Championship clubs and in 2008 Lynch moved to Nottingham Forest, initially on loan, before completing a permanent transfer the following summer.
During his time at Forest he often showed his versatility, playing at centre half whilst also providing cover at left-back. In his final season he forged an excellent partnership with Wes Morgan, the current captain of Premier League champions, Leicester City.
In 2012, Lynch agreed a three-year deal with Huddersfield Town.
He became an integral member of the Terriers side during his stay at the John Smith’s stadium, and was widely-regarded as one of the best defenders when he completed a move to Loftus Road in 2016.
