THE VERSATILE Nedum Onuoha – who can play anywhere in defence – joined QPR from boyhood team Manchester City in January 2012, signing a four-and-a-half year contract.
Onuoha, who is probably most comfortable at centre-back, spent 15 years with the Blues after coming up through the ranks before leaving to be reunited with former City boss Mark Hughes at Loftus Road.
The defender made his England Under-21 debut in October 2005 and went on to figure in both the 2007 and 2009 European Under-21 Championship campaigns.
Onuoha was a fundamental part of our strong defence in 2013/14 which helped the club make an immediate return to the Premier League.
The 29-year-old was awarded the captaincy by former Manager Chris Ramsey at the start of the 2015-16 and has excelled in the role where he is very popular member amongst both players and staff.
