QPR will face their second pre-season test on Saturday afternoon when they make the relatively short trip to the Kassam Stadium to play Oxford United (2pm kick-off).

Mark Warburton’s men made a winning return to action last weekend, following their short, close-season break, beating AFC Wimbledon 3-0 at Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium.

Ilias Chair, Lyndon Dykes, as well as an own goal, did the damage for the R’s and they will, of course, want to build on that in Oxfordshire this weekend.

Oxford – who Rangers also played in pre-season last year – came so close to winning promotion to the Sky Bet Championship in July. The U’s were beaten 2-1 in the League One play-off final by Wycombe Wanderers.

The U’s will be eyeing another promotion push this time around and Karl Robinson’s team gave a very good account of themselves against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park in midweek, being narrowly beaten 2-1 by the Premier League club. Oxford have overcome Oxford City and Banbury United since their return to pre-season training.

Saturday’s friendly will be contested behind closed doors but Rangers fans will be able to watch the action live on QPR+, with a streaming match pass priced at just £4.
