FOR the final time this season Queens Park Rangers are back in action this weekend.

Luton Town awaits Mark Warburton’s side at the Kiyan Prince Foundation for what is the final clash of the 2020/21 Sky Bet Championship campaign.

The R’s head into this one on the back of another away victory, this time the Super Hoops secured a 2-0 win over Stoke City - ensuring that Rangers can sign off the campaign with four victories out of five, form which only sums up how impressive Warburton’s side have been towards the back end of the season.

Despite having already claimed 65 points this season, seven more than last year, Warburton’s side know that there is still another three points up for grabs and a positive result against the Hatters will cap off what has been a hugely positive campaign for the West Londoners.

As mentioned, Rangers host Luton Town this weekend, it what will hopefully be our final clash behind closed doors, but supporters all over the world once again are still able to watch every kick live on QPR+. (12:30pm BST kick-off).

Historic meeting

QPR 3-2 Luton Town 14th September 2019

Rangers registered a third straight Sky Bet Championship win – scoring three goals in the first half an hour to help them to a 3-2 victory over Luton Town at the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium.

Ebere Eze struck just three minutes into what was a breathless W12 encounter, before Nahki Wells was at the double (20 and 28 minutes) to put the Super Hoops into a commanding lead.

Luton gave themselves a glimmer of hope before half-time, as the R’s surrendered possession in their own half and Harry Cornick shot into an empty net to make it 3-1. James Collins then added a visiting second in the 48th minute to set up a grandstand finish.

Fortunately, though, the Luton scoring stopped there – with QPR ultimately seeing out the remainder of the closing half to move level on points with fourth-placed Leeds United.

QPR Starting XI: Lumley, Leistner, Hall, Barbet, Manning, Kane, Ball, Chair, Eze, Hugill, Wells.

Ref watch

Tony Harrington will take charge of this weekend’s clash in W12.
