Rangers suffer defeat to west London neighbours

QPR LADIES went down 4-0 to Actonians on Wednesday night.

The pre-season friendly - switched to Bedfont Sports Club due to a waterlogged pitch at North Greenford - was played in aid of former R's player Leah Taylor, who is recovering after suffering a serious fall last month.

Despite the scoreline, manager Martino Chevannes was pleased with aspects of his side's performance.

"It was another useful workout," he told www.qprlfc.co.uk. "We worked on different aspects of our game and tactics in and out of possession.

"That's what it's about at this stage, it's not about the result."

Rangers sign off pre-season away to Enfield Town on Sunday, before kicking-off the new FA Women's Premier League season seven days later.
