Rangers suffer pre-season defeat
QPR LADIES returned to pre-season action against Luton Town on Sunday.
The visitors ran out 3-0 winners at Honeycroft on what was another experimental afternoon for Martino Chevannes’ side, who made seven changes at half-time.
Despite the result, the R’s boss was encouraged by his side’s display as the countdown to the new FA Women’s Premier League season continues.
“It’s another 90 minutes under our belts,” Chevannes told www.qprlfc.co.uk. “We made wholesale changes at half-time, up until which time it was a very tight affair.
“It gave us an opportunity to look at some of the younger players and trialists.
“Once again there were plenty of positives to get out of it and, more importantly, we’ve identified specific things and areas we need to work on ahead of the season.”
Next up for Rangers is a trip to Actonians on Wednesday evening.
