Rangers kick-off pre-season
QPR LADIES kicked-off pre-season against Stevenage on Sunday.
Martino Chevannes’ ‘experimental’ side went down 6-1 to the South East Division One outfit at Harlington, as the R’s boss blooded a host of youngsters and trialists.
Rangers weren’t helped either by an injury early on which meant they were forced to play the vast majority of the game with just 10 players.
“Despite the scoreline, there were a lot of positives to take,” Chevannes told www.qprlfc.co.uk. “After conceding early on, we settled down and grew into it. We played well in the second half.
“It was an extremely experimental and youthful side, with only two members of last season’s First Team involved, so it was good to get a look at some younger players and trialists.
“It was a worthwhile exercise.”
Next up for QPR Ladies is a trip to Haringey Borough this Sunday (kick-off 3pm).
