West Ham United Ladies v QPR Ladies - FA Women's Premier League Plate - Sunday, 29th October 2017 - Rush Green
QPR LADIES exited the FA Women’s Premier League Plate after a 3-1 defeat at West Ham United on Sunday.
Chloe Burr’s 17th-minute opener broke the deadlock at Rush Green, but it was Amber Stobbs’ strike a minute before the break which really did the damage as Rangers went in 2-0 down at the break.
Martino Chevannes’ side made the perfect start to the second half, however. Katie Knell halved the deficit within three minutes of the re-start to give Rangers hope.
That hope was shortlived, though. Mara Deluca’s foul at the other end on 56 minutes handed the Hammers the chance to restore their two-goal cushion, which Chenise Austin duly took from the penalty spot.
Chevannes and co return to league action at home to Chichester City this weekend.
QPR Ladies: Kasirye, Peacock (G Young 86), J Young, Deluca, Chimbima, Petit, Ismael (Haridas 75), Knell (Gardiner 86), Lynch, Netschova, Adeyemo.
Goal: Knell 48.
