Birmingham City U18s v QPR U18s

PAUL Furlong’s QPR Under-18s lost 3-0 at Birmingham City on Saturday.

Rangers fell behind just before the quarter-hour mark, when the 13th-minute proved unlucky for Furlong’s youngsters. A misplaced pass at the back gifted Birmingham the opening goal at their Wast Hills training ground.

They doubled their lead on 28 minutes. A long ball was latched upon by the Birmingham striker, who coolly lobbed the ball beyond goalkeeper Tyla Dickinson.

City all but sealed victory two minutes before the break with a third goal. This time the Blues finished off a well-worked move, eventually guiding the ball into the far corner from 12 yards.

Next up for Furlong and co is a trip to Bristol City this weekend.

QPR: Dickinson, Barzey (Noel-McLoed 46), Genovesi, Cathline, Fox, Folkes, Mesias, Kifwasima (Dauti 46), Francis, Platt (Alfa 46), Miller.
