R’s on losing side in seven goal match

PAUL Furlong’s QPR Under-18s warmed up for their FA Youth Cup clash with Tottenham Hotspur with a seven-goal affair against Crystal Palace on Saturday.

Rangers – who were much-changed ahead of Tuesday night’s Fourth Round tie at Loftus Road – fell behind on 11 minutes, but levelled through Leandro Ribeiro.

However, Palace restored their lead within 60 seconds before extending it with a third goal on the stroke of half-time.

They stretched it further with a fourth soon after the re-start, but Rangers rallied to set up an unlikely grandstand finish.

Substitute Shiloh Remy reduced the deficit before Charlie Kendall added another five minutes from time, but Palace held out for victory.

Furlong’s youngsters now turn their attentions to Tottenham Hotspur on Tuesday night.

QPR: Bowman, Dasubi (Williams-Lowe 46), Drewe, Kaiser (Grant 67), Woollard-Innocent, Orafu, Akinola (Remy 53), Dauti, Brooks, Ribeiro, Kendall.

Goals: Ribeiro 26, Remy 60, Kendall 85.
