QPR U18s v Huddersfield Town U18s

TWO late goals cruelly denied QPR Under-18s a win in their final game of the Professional Development League season on Saturday.

Paul Furlong’s side were on course for victory thanks to Mus Dauti’s opener just before the half-hour mark at Harlington. The R’s attacker dispossessed a Town defender before cooly sliding his shot into bottom right-hand corner.

It remained 1-0 until four minutes from time. George Danaher headed in Dominic Tear’s cross at the far post to level the scores before Town completed the comeback just moments later courtesy of Cedwyn Scott’s clinical finish inside the box.

The result was harsh on the young R’s, who end the campaign with a defeat.

QPR: Dickinson, Springer-Downes, Antwi, Orafu, Noel-McLoed, Gubbins, Braithwaite, Akinola, Francis (Kendall 70), Dauti, Ribeiro (Brooks 60).

Goal: Dauti 28.
