QPR U18s v Leeds United U18s

QPR UNDER-18S suffered a heavy defeat to Leeds United at Harlington on Saturday.

Three goals in either half did the damage, the first of which coming in the 13th minute. Rangers were caught out on the break, allowing United’s striker to slip the ball underneath R’s goalkeeper Marcin Brzozowski.

A defensive slip led to Leeds’ second on the half-hour mark. After being dispossessed on the edge of their own area, Brzozowski could do nothing but watch an effort fly into his top corner.

It was 3-0 three minutes later. A corner led to a Leeds defender heading home unchallenged at the far post.

Two goals in as many minutes after the break quashed any hopes of a second-half comeback. First, a glancing header from another corner provided a fourth, before a fizzing shot deceived Brzozowski at his near post.

Leeds completed the scoring with a sixth from distance two minutes from time.

QPR: Brzozowski, Springer-Downes, Genovesi, Klass (Goather-Braithewaite 55), Disubi, Eales, Alfa, Bettache, Lewis-Ehsun (Francis 65), Cardoso (Mesias 46), Bowler.
