QPR U18s v Millwall U18s

PAUL Furlong’s QPR Under-18s got back to winning ways at Harlington on Saturday.

Goals from Josh Bowler and Jardel Francis-Adeyinka completed a league double over Millwall, whilst bringing a welcome end to the R’s nine-game winless run.

Rangers began well, and made the breakthrough midway through the first period. Caden Genovesi’s cross from the left was guided home by a neat first-timed finish from Bowler.

They couldn’t hold their lead until half-time, though. After winning possession on the halfway line, Millwall countered quickly to equalise three minutes before the break.

Rangers weren’t to be denied, though – restoring their lead with what would prove the winning goal 12 minutes from time. After a corner wasn’t dealt with by the Lions’ defence, the ball broke to Francis-Adeyinka in the box who drilled his shot past the goalkeeper to clinch the R’s victory.

QPR: Brzozowski, Ribiero, Genovesi (Drewe 46), Mesias, Fox, Eales, Francis, Akinola, Lewis-Ehsun (Platt 64), Kifwasima (Dauti 64), Bowler.

Sub (not used): Bowman.

Goals: Bowler 25, Francis 78.
