Colchester United U18s v QPR U18s - Professional Development League Two South - Saturday, 28th October 2017 - Florence Park

MICKEL Platt’s stoppage-time winner snatched QPR Under-18s the most dramatic of wins at the end of a nine-goal thriller with Colchester United on Saturday.

The young R’s trailed 2-0 after two goals in as many minutes just past the 20-minute mark, but quick-fire replies from Jardell Francis and Faysal Bettache saw the sides go in level at the break.

The comeback looked complete when Leandro Ribeiro fired Rangers in front six minutes into the second half, before an own goal extended the R’s lead just three minutes later.

However, Colchester fought back with a comeback of their own. Goals in the 65th and 77th minute made the score 4-4 and looked to have earned the hosts a share of the spoils.

Rangers would have the final say, though. Platt completed the scoring, providing the winner in stoppage time to clinch all three points.

Next up for the young R’s is a home game with Charlton Athletic this weekend.
