QPR UNDER-18S were on the wrong end of a five-goal affair with Leeds United on Saturday.
In testing conditions, Rangers suffered in the snow as four first-half goals did the damage on a bitterly disappointing day for Paul Furlong’s youngsters.
The visitors made the breakthrough on 12 minutes. After a shot deflected kindly into the path of Ryan Edmondson, the United attacker made no mistake inside the box.
It was 2-0 just four minutes later. Rangers failed to deal with a long ball, allowing Kun Temenuzhkov to lob goalkeeper Tyla Dickinson and double United’s lead.
Leeds added a third on the half-hour mark from close-range through Theo Hudson, while a well-worked corner resulted in Temenuzhkov scoring his second on the stroke of half-time.
The visitors completed the scoring nine minutes after the re-start. Dickinson did well to keep out an effort at his near post but couldn’t prevent Alfie McCalmont from tucking away the rebound.
Next up for Furlong and co is a trip to Hull City this weekend.
