QPR U18s saw their three-match unbeaten run come to an end on Saturday as they fell to defeat at league leaders Millwall in Professional Development League 2 South.
The R’s had beaten Coventry City and Ipswich Town and drawn with Colchester United in their previous three games but they were unable to record any points at the Lions’ Calmont Road training ground.
Paul Furlong’s side did take the lead in south-east London, however, with Mason McLean’s opener arriving inside two minutes.
Millwall had turned the game around by minute 13. Firstly, Abdul Abdulmalik levelled the scores with 10 minutes on the clock and, three minutes later, Jay Barton put the Lions ahead.
Rangers rallied and they went in level at half time with Alex Aoraha’s goal restoring parity on 40 minutes.
But Millwall regained the lead on 65 minutes when Nana Boateng scored and they made the result safe in stoppage time through Sean O’Brien’s clincher.
