OLUWABUNMI Babajide's last-gasp equaliser rescued a point for 10-man QPR U18s against Leeds United in Professional Development League 2 South on Saturday morning.

The leveller - which arrived in the 94th minute - means that the young R's stay unbeaten at home and moves them onto four points from their first three league outings of 2019/20.

Leeds grabbed the lead through Scottish forward Stuart McKinstry on the stroke of half-time. The R's thought they had levelled when Hamzad Kargbo nodded home, only for his header to be ruled out, and Rangers were then reduced to 10 men when Mason McLean was sent off for two bookable offences.

With time running out, Babajide struck from a free-kick to level to the tie and ensure that Paul Furlong's side will head into next weekend's clash at Crewe Alexandra full of confidence.

QPR U18s: Cooper, McLean, Mahorn, Fahmy, Mongowele, Jude-Boyd, Conte (Babajide 20), De Silva, Aoroha (Gordon 70), Mema, Eze (Kargo 55).

Subs (not used): Middlehurst.
