Coventry City U23s v QPR U23s
REECE Grego-Cox celebrated his comeback from injury in style for QPR Under-23s at Coventry City on Monday.
The young striker – returning after a lengthy knee injury – hit a hat-trick as Paul Hall’s side returned to winning ways in the Professional Development League.
Grego-Cox needed less than a minute to make his mark. With the game just 34 seconds old, he arrowed a low drive into the bottom corner from 20 yards.
And it was 2-0 just after 17 minutes. Gianni Crichlow’s cross from the right deflected into the path of Grego-Cox, who steered the ball home inside the box.
Grego-Cox completed the scoring and his hat-trick on the hour-mark. Pouncing on a weak goalkick, the striker raced clear before beating the City goalkeeper with a deft finish to set the seal on victory.
