R's squander lead in Town defeat
GOALS from Axel Prohouly and Brandon Adams couldn’t prevent QPR Under-23s tasting defeat at Huddersfield Town on Sunday.
Prohouly provided Paul Hall’s side with the perfect start inside nine minutes. A swift counter-attack saw the winger race clear before coolly slotting past goalkeeper Joe Murphy.
The lead didn’t last long, though. Regan Booty popped up with an equaliser just three minutes later, before Jon Gorenc Stankovic prodded home from a corner to give Town the lead.
It remained 2-1 until just before the break, when two more goals in as many minutes from Rekeil Pyke and Jack Boyle swung the game firmly in Town’s favour.
Booty celebrated his second and Huddersfield’s fifth just before the hour-mark and, though Adams reduced the deficit for Rangers with a neat finish inside the bottom corner thereafter, it was nothing more than consolation.
Huddersfield completed the scoring in the final minute, with substitute Denilson Carvalho adding a sixth.
