A young QPR Under-23s side were defeated by Berkhamsted FC on Saturday afternoon.
With many of the regular players away with the first team in Germany it was a good chance for some of the Under-18s to get valuable game experience in front of a crowd of 200 people.
But the R’s were two goals down after 20 minutes and when Berkhamsted got a third 30 minutes in, it was always going to be difficult for Paul Hall’s side.
In fairness to Rangers they never let their heads down and reduced the deficit through a well taken strike from Dashane Dalling, but Berkhamsted restored their three goal cushion just before half time.
In the second period the R’s huffed and puffed and did manage a late consolation when Ody Alfa netted from the penalty spot.
