THREE second-half goals inflicted defeat on QPR Under-23s at Cardiff City on Monday.
Paul Hall’s side left the Welsh capital empty-handed after being unable to respond to Dan Williams’ quick-fire double and Dan Griffiths' late strike.
Cardiff had the better of the first 45 minutes but Rangers were resolute in defence, holding out until half-time.
They were behind, however, six minutes after the re-start. Williams got the final touch to a deflected effort to give City the lead.
The lead was doubled soon after, too. Williams again with the finish, converting Trystan Jones’ headed centre.
Lewis Walker came close to pulling one back for Rangers but he headed wide.
It proved costly as Cardiff put the result beyond any doubt eight minutes from time. Griffiths found the net for City’s third goal to wrap up the win for the Welsh side.
