A YOUTHFUL QPR Under-23s side went down 3-1 at Coventry City on Friday.
Rangers fielded a host of Under-18s for their second outing of the week and it was one of them – Dejahrn Grant – who gave them a half-time lead, breaking the deadlock four minutes before the break.
Coventry responded in the second half, however, with three goals in 18 minutes which turned things around.
Morgan Williams equalised on the hour-mark before City edged in a front courtesy of David Bremang’s 71st-minute penalty – a decision which also saw R’s defender Themis Kefalas sent off.
And the hosts made their numerical advantage pay – extending their lead and all but sealing victory with a third goal through Reise Allassani.
They would have had a fourth at the death when Bremang was awarded another penalty, but Marcin Brzozowski kept this one out.
