ARAMIDE Oteh found the net for QPR’s U23s on Tuesday afternoon as they fell to a 3-1 defeat against Nottingham Forest at the City Ground.
The R’s – who were hoping to bounce back from defeat against Crewe Alexandra last week – fell behind in the east midlands when Brennan Johnson broke the deadlock on 26 minutes.
A powerful Oteh effort almost drew Rangers level on 36 minutes but he was denied by home stopper Jordan Wright and, after half-time, the Tricky Trees doubled their advantage when Alex Mighten struck.
Mighten held off his marker inside the QPR box before firing a low strike beyond Dillon Barnes in the Rangers net. It was 3-0 on 73 minutes. Johnson claimed his second of the afternoon by picking out the corner with a first-time finish from inside the box.
Oteh grabbed a consolation seven minutes from time when he got the better of goalkeeper Wright by burying a shot in the bottom corner of the goal. QPR will hope to bounce back when they host Sheffield United in Professional Development League 2 South on Monday.
