QPR Under-23s suffered a 4-2 defeat to Ipswich Town in this Professional Development League Two South fixture on Monday afternoon.
A side which featured first-team regulars Moses Odubajo, Andre Dozzell and Luke Amos took the lead in the 13th minute through ex-Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Amos, while striker Alfie Lloyd also converted for the R’s. But it wasn’t enough as they were condemned to defeat in East Anglia.
Following Amos' early opener, goals late in the first half for Kieron Dyer’s side saw the clash flipped on its head. However, former Yeovil Town man Lloyd drew the Super Hoops level only three minutes into the second half.
But things would get progressively worse for the visitors with strikes in the 51st and 61st minute for Town, ensuring Andy Impey’s side would return to west London empty -anded.
QPR U23s are quickly back in action on Wednesday evening when they travel to Alfreton Town FC to face Nottingham Forest in the Premier League Cup.
