QPR FC Women returned to winning ways courtesy of a 2-1 victory over Norwich City at The Nest on Sunday afternoon.
First-half strikes from Brogan Moore and Erin Pope were enough to secure all three points for Steve Quashie’s side, as the R’s returned to National League action for the first time since November.
The Super Hoops started brightly in East Anglia, with Moore slotting home in the fifth minute - following some good work from Ellen Wardlaw and Emilia Nygaard-Parsons.
After taking the lead, Rangers began to dominate with top scorer Melanie Hall continually troubling the Canaries' backline.
But it was Pope who was eventually able to double QPR's advantage.
A well worked set-piece fell to the R’s attacker at the near post, before she was able to poke the ball home.
Norwich pulled a goal back from the penalty spot, with Natasha Snelling converting from 12 yards, but Rangers dug in deep and despite some late pressure from the hosts, were able to return to the capital with all three points.
Rangers return to action on Sunday when they host league leaders Hashtag United at the Powerday Stadium (1.15pm KO).
