The event, which coincides with the 40th anniversary season of the greatest ever QPR side, will take place at the Lancaster London hotel on Saturday 24th October, following our home fixture against MK Dons.

QPR have had some great teams over the years, but it is universally accepted amongst the R’s fan-base that the finest-ever side assembled at Loftus Road was the class of 1975/76.

Under the guidance of Dave Sexton, Rangers missed out on winning the First Division title to Liverpool by a solitary point.

The flair of the team, and its style of play, attracted admiration from not only QPR fans, but followers of other clubs as well.

Gerry Francis’s stunning goal in a 2-0 win over Liverpool on the opening day of the campaign was voted Goal of the Season, and epitomised the team’s entertaining brand of football.

And when it came to entertainment, Stan Bowles was at the heart of it all, producing one sublime performance after another.

Players and staff from that great team – as well as the present-day class of 2015/16 – will be in attendance at the black tie event, which will commence from 7.30pm.

QPR fan and Sky Sports News HQ reporter, Aiden Magee, will compere the evening, on a night when all proceeds will go towards QPR in the Community Trust.

Magee will be on hand to quiz the R’s stars of the mid-seventies, as well as the likes of Les Ferdinand and Chris Ramsey, on a night to savour in west London.

An auction will also take place on the night, during which supporters will be able to bid on the second batch of the special limited edition signed Alzheimer’s Society shirts worn on #StanBowlesDay, and much, much more!

Following the formalities of the evening, a DJ will run through til 1am, capping off a memorable night.
