- Ramsey nominated for August gong
- Head Coach guided R's to 10 points from 15 in opening month
- Rangers ended August in fourth place
QPR Head Coach, Chris Ramsey, has been shortlisted for the Championship Manager of the Month award for August.
Rangers ended the opening month of the season in fourth place, with three wins, a draw and a defeat, from their opening five fixtures.
The Football League judging panel - which comprises former Ipswich Town manager George Burley; Sky Sports’ Football League expert Don Goodman; Football League Chief Operating Officer Andy Williamson; League Managers’ Association Director Olaf Dixon; and Sky Bet Football Trading Manager Paul Lowery - commented: 'Chris Ramsey is quietly establishing himself at Loftus Road, fashioning his side in his own hard-working image and restoring belief. Didn’t panic after an awkward start and led his side to three successive wins for a 10-point haul in August.'
Ramsey is joined on the shortlist by Hull boss Steve Bruce, Brighton gaffer Chris Hughton and Mick McCarthy (Ipswich).
The winner will be announced on Friday.
