QUEENS Park Rangers defender Jamie Sendles-White played 90 minutes for Northern Ireland Under-21s on Thursday night.

Sendles-White, part of Rangers Elite Development Squad, started the 3-0 defeat in Cyprus as Northern Ireland U21s got their UEFA European Championship qualifying campaign off to a disappointing start at the Nicosia's Makarios Stadium.

Played in 33 degree heat Cyprus moved in front on 19 minutes when Onisiforos Roushias connected with a Pieros Sotiriou cross.

The hosts extended their lead just short of the hour mark through Zacharias Theodorou with a shot across the face of goal and beyond keeper Ross Glendinning.

Ten minutes after that, Soritiou volleyed home a third for the Cypriots to complete a comprehensive victory.

Northern Ireland Under-21s are next in action on September 9th when they travel to Belgium.

Meanwhile, duo Frankie Sutherland and Michael Harriman are in action for the Republic of Ireland Under-21s this afternoon for their friendly with Denmark.
