ACADEMY duo Darnell Furlong and Aaron Mitchell have signed professional contracts at QPR.
The R's pair have both put pen to paper on one-year deals at Loftus Road after impressive seasons at both Under-18 and Under-21 level.
Furlong - son of R's legend and Under-18s boss Paul - has led by example this term as Youth Team captain, leading Rangers to the top of the Professional Development League Two (South).
The defender has also established himself as full-back in the Elite Development Squad, making eight appearances so far this term.
Meanwhile, team-mate Mitchell leads the scoring charts for the table-topping Under-18s with nine goals from 20 appearances.
The midfield ace scored his first for the Elite Development Squad this month, netting the R's opener in a 1-1 draw at Charlton Athletic.
Both celebrated Under-18s title success under Steve Gallen's stewardship last season before securing silverware Stateside in the summer, when Furlong captained the young R's to glory in the Newark International Soccer Classic.
Mitchell's five goals - including a hat-trick against Inter Milan - saw him take home the Golden Boot.
