HARRY Redknapp enjoyed a return to winning ways after overseeing QPR’s joint-best victory of the season against Yeovil Town on Saturday.
Ravel Morrison’s brace either side of substitute Bobby Zamora’s second-half strike secured maximum points, providing the perfect response to defeat in midweek.
“It was a tough game,” the R’s boss told www.qpr.co.uk. “Yeovil are a good side.
“They’re very well organised and they worked their socks off. In the end it was a great result for us.
“We played great at Brighton the other night, probably the best as we’ve played all season, but we just couldn’t score.
“But today we managed to stick three in. It’s three good points.”
Redknapp hailed his match-winning duo as Morrison bagged a brace for the second weekend running, while the R’s boss was also pleased to see Zamora back on the scoresheet after coming off the bench to net his first goal since February 2013.
“Ravel’s a real talent,” he added. “It was a great finish for the last goal.
“Bobby Zamora was fantastic when he came on too. It was great to see him score.
“He held the ball up, brought people into play. There were some good positives to come from today.”
Victory keeps the R’s in contention for an automatic promotion spot, 10 points behind Burnley ahead of Tuesday night’s trip to Sheffield Wednesday.
Redknapp added: “We’ll still chase Burnley but it’s going to be hard. They keep winning and they’ve been fantastic this year.
“It’s going to be a tight scrap for play-off places, it’s going to be close. It’s going to go down to the wire.”
