QUEENS Park Rangers captain Clint Hill has been voted 2012/13 Supporters Player of the Year.
The Rangers skipper topped the Club’s official poll for the second year running following an online supporters vote.
Hill, 34, will collect the award prior to today’s Barclays Premier League match against Newcastle United at Loftus Road.
Following a difficult season on the pitch the players felt that there had been one consistent performer throughout the season – you, the QPR supporters. R’s fans have continued to back their side and the first team squad has decided to select you as their Players’ Player of the Year.
Meanwhile, R’s youngster Michael Harriman has won the Elite Development Squad Player of the Season award.
The 20-year-old right-back spent the second half of the season on loan at Wycombe Wanderers where he made 20 appearances during a successful spell at Adams Park.
Junior Hoops members opted to select Andros Townsend, on loan from Tottenham Hotspur, as their Player of the Season whilst the Kiyan Prince Goal of the Season went to forward Loic Remy for his wonder strike against Wigan Athletic.
Finally, loyal R’s fan Malcolm Oakley has been named Supporter of the Year. Malcolm has not missed a home match at Loftus Road – both competitive and non – for 50 seasons straight. His run started when Malcolm, now 65, attended our league fixture against Brighton & Hove Albion in August 1962.
