JAMIE Mackie has today (Friday) joined Nottingham Forest for an undisclosed fee.
The 27 year-old, who submitted a transfer request yesterday, has agreed a three year deal at The City Ground.
Mackie joined QPR from Plymouth Argyle in August 2010 and played a key role in the R’s Championship-winning season of 2010/11.
He scored nine goals in the first half of the campaign, before breaking his leg in an FA Cup tie against Blackburn Rovers.
On his return to fitness, Mackie featured on 34 occasions in all competitions during the 2011/12 Premier League season, scoring eight goals.
He made 33 appearances last term, scoring twice.
Mackie told www.qpr.co.uk: “I’ve enjoyed three great years at QPR, but at this stage of my career I needed a new challenge.
“I’ve got the utmost respect for the club – the owners, the manager and his staff, the players, and of course, the fans – and I wish everyone at Loftus Road every success for the future.”
The club would like to thank Jamie for his contribution during his time at QPR and wish him all the best for the future.
