MASSIMO LUONGO GETS AUSTRALIA CALL

  • Massimo Luongo called-up by Australia next month
  • QPR midfielder selected for 2018 World Cup Qualifiers
  • Luongo to face Bangladesh and Tajikistan

MASSIMO Luongo has been called-up by Australia for their 2018 World Cup qualification campaign next month.


The QPR midfielder, who moved to Loftus Road in the summer from Swindon Town, will represent Australia against Bangladesh and Tajikistan as the Aussies bid to secure their place in Russia in three-years time. 


The 22-year-old will link up with Australia in Perth following Rangers' Sky Bet Championship fixture against Huddersfield Town on Saturday, 29th August 2015. 


Australia host Bangladesh at the Nib Stadium on 3rd September before travelling to Tajikistan on the 8th September. 


Luongo is part of Head Coach Ange Postecoglou’s 23-man squad for the two qualification fixtures. 


He has represented Australia on 12 occasions previously, scoring two goals.
