  • R's right-back Darnell Furlong will now stay on loan at Northampton Town for a further month
  • Furlong has made six appearances for Town thus far

YOUNG QPR defender Darnell Furlong will now remain on loan at Northampton Town for another month, after the League Two outfit extended his temporary stay.

Furlong, 19, the son of R’s legend and Under-18s boss Paul, has made six starts in all competitions for the Cobblers so far, after joining in mid-September.

And the right-back will now be at Sixfields Stadium until November 14th.

Furlong is likely to be involved when Northampton host Hartlepool United in the league tomorrow (Saturday).

Under the terms of the agreement, Furlong isn’t permitted to play for Town in the FA Cup, while Rangers also have the option of a recall.
