TWO members of QPR’s Under-21s have signed new deals at Loftus Road.
Youth internationals Niko Hamalainen (Finland) and Olamide Shodipo (Republic of Ireland) have both put pen to paper on extended contracts.
Defensive-minded Hamalainen – who has made 11 appearances for Paul Hall’s side this season – has signed a one-year professional contract until June 2017.
"Niko's a long way from home but has adapted well to the English game," Technical Director, Chris Ramsey, told www.qpr.co.uk. "He's already done well out on loan and has earned his contract through hard work and determination."
Meanwhile, team-mate Shodipo – with four goals to his name this term from wide – has agreed a two-year extension until the summer of 2018.
"Olamide's an exciting player with an outstanding attitude and somebody we've got high hopes for," Ramsey added.
"He's already caught the eye of the manager and I'm sure he'll be working hard to impress Jimmy over the coming months."
